Criteria for use: Clients are Ontario residents in need of financial assistance with the cost of prescription drugs. Clients must apply. Application forms are available through the Ministry of Health or at some local pharmacies.

Fee: An annual deductable is calculated based on income (equivalent to about 4% of net family income)

Description: The Trillium Drug Program is a program to help with the costs of prescription drugs. Yearly income is assessed and if a person qualifies for the program, a deductable amount is assigned. Anyone who comes into the program later in the year pays a deductible based on the number of months left in the program year.
