In order to help your healthcare team effectively manage your pain and make sure that you are as comfortable as possible, it is helpful to communicate with them clearly about the issues.

Sometimes you are not sure how to communicate about pain, or what is important, or what you should tell your doctor. This section will help you assess whether or not you are communicating well with your team about your pain and what you can do to help them help you.
