Restlessness and Agitation

Some people can become very restless or agitated in the final days or hours. This is because of the internal body changes taking place, or sometimes from a medication. Your doctor may prescribe a medication that can be absorbed from under the tongue or at the side of the mouth. This medication is a mild sedative that will quickly calm and soothe an agitated or restless person, and it may take several tablets until the restlessness stops. If this medication is not helping, your doctor may prescribe medication by injection.
